This Alexandrite is Laboratory Grown. The color changes in this stone range from deep purple to fuchsia to a iridescent blue green lavender mix depending on the level & type of light it is exposed to. It is optically identical to the natural in every way and in hardness with near flawless clarity and excellent color refraction but with a Corundum based chemical composition like a Ruby or Sapphire.
